If you look around the gym you’ll definitely see people who take leg workout very seriously. Your excuses will probably be that you don’t need leg work out because there is no benefit from it; or you already have big legs and etc. No matter the reason, if leg workout is not part of our fitness or bodybuilding routine then you are making a mistake.
Leg workout is essential for quite logical and simple reason – the whole body needs to be exercised, not just 50% of it. If you workout, than workout the ‘whole 9 yards’. Imagine the results when leg workout is eliminated – The upper body will be pumped and the lower body will be very skinny.
Remember that strong legs do make a difference. While working out every muscular group in the body the metabolism speeds up, the testosterone levels increase, energy increases, body fat levels decrease, blood sugar levels are being balanced, cholesterol in the body is reduced, heart function is being improved and etc. In all there results leg workout has its part to play.
You don’t have to go all the way with the repetitions and sets with the leg workout exercises; a normal workout with squats, jump squats, calf-rises, rope jumping, stepping machine and etc, will do the trick very well. Never forget that working out the lower body will balance your strength and even improve other upper body exercises.
Other than healthy benefits, a worked out leg muscles are quite attractive though. Women feel very sexy when they have sexy fitness shaped legs under tight spandex and swimsuits.
