Tobey Maguire – The Spiderman Workout

Tobey Maguire was a simple actor that was hardly noticed on screen, but then 2002 came – Spider-man was released in and gave Tobey Maguire world fame for his portrait as Spider-man himself. Now, normally we don’t expect to receive a chiseled body form a nerdy student with glasses and a haircut style as old as it can be, but when Peter Parker woke up after the spider sting, he looked in the mirror and was stunned by his own abs; well the world was too. So how did Tobey get to his Spider-man muscles? … Well, here’s the workout routine.

Diet – Diet was an important part of the program. All fried nutrition was excluded to make way for healthy fruit like fruit, vegetables, whole grains, fresh meat low-fat milk and cottage cheese. Tobey drank about one gallon of water per day (3,7 liters) and eat every three hours.

The Workout Routine – The workout routine stretches for 4 days a week; 3 sets with 8 to 12 repetitions per exercise. If the 12th repetition is easy, then increase the weight.

Day 1 – Chest and Triceps
1. Incline dumbbell press
2. Barbell bench press
3. Pec dec flye
1. Dips
2. Lying triceps extension
3. Close-grip bench press

Day 2 – Back and Biceps
1. Bent-over barbell row
2. One-arm dumbbell row
3. Seated cable row
4. Hyperextensions
1. Barbell bicep curl
2. Bicep preacher curl
3. Seated dumbbell concentration curl

Day 3 – Legs and Calves
1. Hack squat
2. Leg extension
3. Hamstring curls

Day 4 – Shoulders and Abs
1. Seated dumbbell military press
2. Dumbbell lateral raise
3. Reverse pec-dec flye
1. Crunches
2. Hanging leg rises
3. Side bends holding dumbbells
