Returning to make a 3 sequel in the Rocky saga, Sylvester Stallone made an impressive muscle craft that still make people wonder today, how did he managed to make such a ripped body. His muscle appearance in Rocky 3 is often compared to Bruce Lee appearance in “Enter The Dragon”. They both share the same thing – Overtraining!
Sylvester Stallone has admitted in recent years that he may have overreacted in training for Rocky 3. The workout routine can be harshly described as “suicidal”. It is almost certainly that overtraining led Bruce Lee to his death by the cause of brain hemorage. Sly and Lee have the same exercising enthusiasm leading to the very edge of collapsing. For those that are familiar with Bruce Lee’s history, you probably know that he suffered serious back injury that could have easily made him cripple for the rest of his life.
Free days in exercising is essential, if not most important. Stallone now exercises normally and advises everybody not to cross the boundaries of training. His training routine for Rocky 3 is not recommended, but just out of curiosity I’ll present it. Make sure you don’t practice is in your training, or don’t get near it at all.
The Rocky 3 Training:
- 2 miles jogging
- Sparring for 18 rounds
- Weight lifting for two hours
- Small nap in the afternoon
